"Roadside Conversations" Video Commentary Introduction
Posted on Sunday, October 11th, 2009 at 6:10 pmGreetings fellow travelers on this journey through Luke! I am pleased to post here as a “world debut” so-to-speak the first installment of “Roadside Conversations: A Journey Through Luke” video commentary, by Bruce Van Blair and Eric Elnes (aka, me). Giving credit where credit is due: this commentary was filmed by Ray Meints and Chris Brown, edited by Ray Meints and myself, and mastered by Ray Meints. As you may observe from the frequency of the name “Ray Meints,” we are especially indebted to him for his copious time and talent devoted to this project. Thank you, Ray!
Each week we’ll post new links to future video chapters, which correspond to Luke’s chapters. Each video is approx 8 – 12 minutes in length and is meant to serve as a SUPPLEMENT to your reading of Luke’s Gospel. We also highly recommend Bruce Van Blair’s Believer’s Road book (available online by clicking the link, or at Countryside Community Church for a suggested donation of $10), as we’ve intentionally tried to steer clear of covering material in the video that is already covered in that book. You’ll be able to find those chapters by either by scrolling down this blog, or by clicking on one of the “categories” on the side of the blog, which take you to all materials posted for the particular chapter of Luke you’re seeking to access.
So … (drum roll please) … here’s the video introduction, which gives some background and explains how the Bible study will operate!
Thank you, Eric, for this introduction to the Luke study. Both Ron and I are eager to take part in this study with great friends and a wonderful leader. Looking forward to your service Sunday and the direction it will take us.
